Maybe make a leveling road or a teleport into a dungeon and put the leveling road in there. Ive seen it on some custom servers and it alleviates the tedium that most people shy away from when looking for a high rate server. either that or make a default quest that boosts you to level 40 gives you a mount and such since thats the largest drawback to vanilla

oh and personally I think the custom server should have a higher gold rate or adjustable since I cant even afford to buy my skills as a rogue. just a thought

Im all for instant 60 but that isnt what the server was tagged as so there is that, maybe make training free and forget about goldrate? Im not sure how easy it is or if its possible but thats my thought

Settings the gold rate is easy. But setting the amount of gold individual mobs drop is quite tedious and time consuming.
The things people should remember during the next few weeks as we fine tune this realm is that bosses drop a ton of gold still. If you manage to go kill something in ZG thats 50x gold (currently) that boss will drop.
This is what I'm interested in doing with this realm. Every suggestion will help get us there.
Thanks for all your suggestions i'm considering everything that's written down.

playing as a melee in vanilla is a complete grind I started a rogue 3-4 hours ago still only lvl 15 If I could get 100g in the mail upon starting that would be wondeful since the starting vendors can sell you lvl 60 gear that you can wear at lvl 1. Im playing on the custom server Alliance Human rogue named Cthul, I would be happy to demonstrate how much more enjoyable leveling would be with a slight "boost" atleast to get me started.

the idea with using high lvl quest reward gear(which has no level requirement and can be used as lvl 1) for leveling is pretty nice. in my opinion a vendor in every startarea would be awesome. this vendor should sell then such an item for everyclass for no price. for example only a weapon would be enough and still not that overpowered as a whole gear. a weapon to buy for every class then and its fine. perhaps caster should be able to choose between 2h(high stats, low spelldmg) or 1h and offhand(low stats, high spelldmg) and certain melees between 2h, 1h/shield and for later on dualwield(probably for rogues the choice between assassination(dagger) or combatspecc(others)).

i know i also use a xbow on hunt but generally speaking such an "lvlitem" weapon vendor is innovational and never seen before in vanilla ;D custom-/funplayers will like it for sure

Tier .5 is now sold in starting areas for 1copper each. This will help players level.
