An back dated database on your website would be good. I know most people looking for Vanilla WoW, already know where everything is but there is a chance they need to look something up. I know the VG server/website have one and there is no need to have your clients leave your website. The more you can accommodate them, the less they will wander and leave.
The wowhead or other general database sites now, are updated to the latest expansions. You should have your own, only updated as far as your content goes.

I do plan to implement a database website for our vanilla patch based on our data at some point, but I don't think it will happen any time soon as this project is just getting started and is in alpha phase so there is much to focus on else where.
